The fund rose by just over 12% in SEK over the first eight months of the year. The positive return was driven mainly by exposure to technology and semiconductors, tied to the continued strong investment trend in automation and data centres. Industrial and health care holdings also contributed, while individual holdings in communication services were weaker and detracted from the relative return.
Over the period the fund increased exposure to companies benefiting from investment in electrification and energy efficiency, including new positions in Nordic and European industrial companies. At the same time it reduced weight in a number of consumer-related companies where the valuation was judged to have run ahead of earnings.
We expect investment in technology and infrastructure to continue through the remainder of 2026 and into next year. The strategy ahead is therefore to keep strong exposure to these themes while looking for opportunities in other parts of the market where valuations look more attractive.
